Yesterday was a really exciting day for me! My mom and dad went to a big shopping centre to buy things for my grandma and uncle’s new room. I asked if I could come with them, and they said yes! I was so, so happy.

But then Dad came home late from office, and both Mom and I got worried because the shop closes at 7:00 at night. We thought we wouldn’t make it. When we finally reached the store, I started putting things into the trolley like doormats, toilet items, a floor brush, plastic containers, slippers, and handkerchiefs.

When we went to the third floor, a staff member announced that the shop would close at 7:30 instead. I felt so relieved! Dad kept telling us to hurry so we wouldn’t waste time. I really wanted to buy a hoodie for myself, but they didn’t have my size. That made me a little sad.

But we bought lots of things that we needed. After paying at the billing counter, we went back home and gave everything to Grandma and Uncle. They were very happy, and that made me feel happy too.
